Hometown: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Top destination: Whilst flying the world riding the best trails is great...personally coming home and ripping through Shropshire muck is my fav!

Matt Walker is definitely not someone fazed by the big events. Starting out in the Madison Saracen Development Team back in 2014, he claimed both the British Downhill Series and British Championships as a youth rider in 2015.
Last year saw Matt move up to the Madison Saracen Factory Race Team as a junior World Cup racer. Lourdes was his first event and he more than proved his standing, securing a stunning second place. Seemingly on fire following this success, he went one better at Cairns, scoring the win. Back home he took on the brutal Fort William track at the BDS and again came out on top of the podium.
A wrist injury sustained mid-2016 may have slowed Matt down momentarily but he has without a doubt shown he is one to watch. We’re stoked to have him as an advocate for Animal and look forward to watching his stellar progression through the ranks.
