Inspired by: Steve Peat, a true legend in the sport of downhill and someone who I’ve looked up to from a young age and still do to this date.

Driven and focused, Matt is the definition of a professional athlete, pushing his limits both in the gym and out on the trail. His rise has been awesome to see for downhill fans. He joined the Madison Saracen Factory Race Team back in 2014, gaining the team’s first elite male World Cup podium, thereby securing the team’s third place World Cup series ranking at the end of that season.

2015 was another solid year for Matt, with consistent top 20 results on the World Cup stage and a coveted place in the World Champs team. In the British Downhill Series it was a close battle all season long, with Matt finishing a strong second overall, leaving unfinished business for 2016! True to form, last year he went one better, nailing top spot in the BDS and will therefore be running the #1 plate through 2017. We can’t wait to see him lead the charge this year.
