Days out at Bluewater
Top reasons to visit in October
Days out at Bluewater Shopping Centre | Top reasons to visit this October
Bluewater is of course recognised for its great range of shops, (which is why we were stoked to open a new Animal store there recently). However, after spending a little time at the centre whilst fitting out our new premises, we realised that there was so much fun stuff going on, one trip just wasn’t enough! To stop you missing out on any of the action, we thought we’d bring you a rundown of what’s on at Bluewater Shopping Centre this October.
Fresher’s week is over and you’re now down to the serious business of being a student. If you’re already in need of a little pick-me-up then head over to Bluewater on 6th October for their special student night. We’ll be getting in on the action with a live DJ in the Animal store, goody bags, 20% off across the range and free refreshments.*
If spine-chilling scares are how you get your kicks, then book in to the Nightmare Emporium for a fully immersive horror experience from the House of the Dead.
Bluewater is home to a Showcase Cinema de Lux, complete with Imax and Sony 4K screens. Check out the latest releases for October, including psychological thriller The Girl On the Train.
Annabel wears the Horizon hoody; from £35
Junuh wears the Dock knitted hoody: from £55
Whatever the weather, there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained at Bluewater. Take them on a spooktacular quest to solve ‘The Mystery of the Pumpkin Ghost’—a haunting experience brought to you by House of the Dead. The Animal store will be joining in the Halloween fun by giving away a free spooky lunchbag with every purchase from our kids’ range.*
On the trail
Bluewater isn’t all about the shopping; head outside into the 50 acres of beautiful parkland that surrounds the centre. Follow the nature trail, or let the small folk blow off steam in the 3 adventure playgrounds.
If you need to stock up on some adventure-ready kit, don’t forget to drop in to the Animal store, located on the Upper Rose Gallery, where our new kids’ collections have just landed. During half term week we’ll also be running a super exciting competition to win a brand new kid’s bike—ask in-store for more details.
FOR THE REST
New season style
It goes without saying that shopping is the number one priority for a visit to Bluewater. Our fresh collections for AW16 are now in-store and this month you can enter our competition to win £300 worth of Animal stash, just for you!*
For the best shopping in Kent, check out the full list of Bluewater shops at: http://www.bluewater.co.uk/en/stores
For something alternative, spend an evening at the Showcase Cinema de Luxe, where you can catch special live screenings of arts events. On the 12th October a performance of King Lear, staring Antony Sher, will be broadcast via satellite from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Afterwards, why not indulge in a tasty meal at one of the many restaurants around the centre? There’s something for everyone; from Jamie’s Italian to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen, or join the street food revolution at Indi-Go.
Finally, there’s always time for a last bit of retail therapy. The team at our Animal Bluewater Store is super friendly and the opening hours are pretty convenient too:
Monday – Friday 10am until 9pm
Saturday 9am until 9pm
Sunday 11am until 5pm
